Véronique Malka is a partner and chair of the Canadian Legal Department of Immigration, International Trade & Mobility in the New York office. Ms. Malka is also the co-chair of the Global Mobility Group, which boasts a network of trusted CKR agents across the world. Ms. Malka has over two decades of experience in her practice, she is known as the “go-to” lawyer for all Canadian legal needs.

Born and raised in Montréal, Ms. Malka innovatively took the practice of Canadian law “out” of Canada upon immigrating to the USA herself to the USA, from where she provides legal advice and representation in the areas of Canadian law, cross-border trade, and immigration, as well as international human rights. Ms. Malka manages an expanding team of Canadian legal professionals ready to conveniently serve clients located in the USA, and globally. She is based in our New York and New Jersey offices but travels regularly to our affiliated offices in Canada.

Ms. Malka's clients include corporations of all sizes – from start-up entrepreneur to HR Department of Fortune 500 multinationals - seeking to expand and send personnel into Canada. Ms. Malka strives to help individuals and families, from the U.S. and from around the globe, who hope to move to Canada on a temporary or permanent basis. Ms. Malka's Canadian legal team also assists those facing inadmissibility issues in Canada due to criminality issues such as DUIs or other infractions.

Ms, Malka is recognized for her work in international human rights, including winning numerous cases of child abductions under The Hague Convention. She has earned an Award of Merit from the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children in Washington, D.C. for her outstanding work in the protection of children internationally. In 2016, Ms. Malka was selected by the former Justice Minister of Canada and Professor Emeritus at McGill University, Irwin Cotler, for a Secondment as Executive Director for the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, in Montréal.
