Michael James Maloney is a trusted trial attorney and valued corporate adviser. Michael has represented clients in matters before state and federal courts around the United States and has coordinated global litigations involving multiple jurisdictions. He also advises clients in transactions and corporate governance matters. Michael helps clients identify, understand, and manage legal risk and exposure and to think two steps ahead of the other side.

Michael has experience providing strategic advice in a wide range of legal matters, including financial services, securities, real estate finance, and international law. He focuses on providing clients with creative and efficient solutions to difficult problems.

Michael serves as Chair of the Executive Committee of CKR Law LLP. Earlier in his career, Michael practiced law at Kelley Drye & Warren.

Notable representations:

Mr. Maloney was awarded a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law, where he served on the Syracuse Law Review.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Maloney served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Bernard J. Fried, Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. From 2006 to 2012, he practiced law at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in New York City.  In 2013, Mr. Maloney co-founded the firm Kheyfits & Maloney LLP.
