Manjit S. Gill is a Partner with CKR Law. Manjit's practice focuses on the full spectrum of needs for a business. Initially, Manjit focused his practice on business litigation in state and federal court and alternative dispute resolution, helping clients resolve a broad spectrum of disputes involving commercial matters, securities, business entities, real estate, and intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets) here in the United States. Manjit expanded his dispute resolution practice to also help clients from outside the U.S. navigate the litigation process in the U.S., and if most appropriate, advocate to ensure the dispute they were brought into was resolved in a more appropriate forum outside the U.S. In addition, Manjit has represented clients to resolve business disputes by international arbitration under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Building upon his broad-based dispute resolution experience, Manjit expanded his practice to provide transactional support to small and medium-sized businesses from their inception through all stages of their growth, and to assist these clients in solving their financial needs as opportunities presented themselves to clients to require funding for expansion into new lines of business. Manjit serves as outside general counsel to several companies in the consumer goods, medical device, and renewable energy space.
Manjit has frequently spoken abroad at the invitation of the Government of Malaysia to Malaysian businesses about doing business in the United States (although raised in the United States, Manjit was born in Malaysia), and has also counseled U.S. businesses on opportunities to do business in Malaysia and South Asia (Manjit co-authored the chapter on Doing Business in Malaysia of a larger treatise published by the American Bar Association on Doing Business in Asia).
Prior to joining CKR Law, Manjit was a Shareholder with Tantillo Law, PLLC. Manjit is admitted to practice in Florida, Washington, DC, New York, Maryland, and Virginia. Manjit obtained his Bachelor's degree at Duke University, his law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law, and his LL.M. in International Law at New York University School of Law.
