Mr. Kim represents creditors, parties-in-interest, bankruptcy trustees and litigants in bankruptcy matters (60%), non-bankruptcy, federal litigation (20%) and California state litigation (20%) with a specialty in contested matters and adversary proceedings arising in bankruptcy cases under chapters 7, 9 and 11 of title 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Mr. Kim graduated with Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his J.D. magna cum laude from Loyola Law School.
Prior to joining CKR Law, Mr. Kim was an equity partner at a national law firm and also owned a small firm where he has extensive experience representing clients in the following business sectors: financial services (banking), construction, infrastructure, government, insurance, restaurant/hospitality, health care, energy, transportation, real estate and public utilities.
Mr. Kim is admitted in all federal and state courts residing in Hawaii and California.
