She represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board and Board of Equalization in matters of income, corporate and sales taxes. Ms. Savoji previously directed a pro bono tax clinic at Pacific Asian Consortium of Employment, guiding low-income taxpayers with their tax matters.
Ms. Savoji also advises businesses and non-profit organizations on entity structures and corporate governance appropriate for their mission and size. She gives her clients individual assistance with tax planning for business formation, adoption of bylaws, and plan of liquidation. She supplies clients with tailor-made business agreements including operating agreements, redemption agreements, buy-sell agreements and security agreements, amongst others and serves as general corporate counsel.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Savoji was a co-owner of a 2-branch dance studio which also produced, marketed, and distributed instructional DVDs world-wide. Occasionally, she taught beginner’s salsa and Argentine tango.
