Leslie Williams is a partner at the Irvine office. Ms. Williams is a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of corporate and intellectual property experience; Ms. Williams counsels clients on their domestic and international business transactions, with special emphasis on the needs of technology companies. Her practice includes data privacy and sustainability policy.

Ms. Williams advises on a broad range of corporate transactions, the acquisition, strategic use of and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the U.S. and abroad, and the commercialization of technology, products, and services. Ms. Williams has extensive experience in advising foreign companies, particularly European firms, on the start-up or expansion of their business operations in the U.S. or with international partners in outbound transactions. Her industry knowledge includes semiconductors, software, and web-based applications, medical devices, advanced ceramics, stem cell storage, renewable energy, and green finance.

Prior to joining CKR, she was a co-founder and partner of the IP and international business firm of Shaub & Williams LLP in West Los Angeles and Newport Beach, California. Earlier in her legal career, Ms. Williams was with Squire Patton Boggs in Brussels where she advised on EU law, particularly in competition, intellectual property and internal market issues. Throughout her career, she has continued to advise on IP and internal market aspects of EU law.

Ms. Williams is a member of Sustain SoCal, the IAPP, the German IP Association, GRUR (grur.de), the Transatlantic Advisory Committee to United Way Germany (unitedway.org/local/Germany), and director of the Senate of the Economy, an affiliate of Senat der Wirtschaft (senat-deutschland.de).
