The areas of law Kim focused on during her career up to joining CKR Law included corporate and business transactions, commercial litigation, and commercial and consumer bankruptcy, and she practiced at firms in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia.
In 2011, Kim was co-founder and the managing partner of a small bankruptcy law firm in Philadelphia for 3 years. There she honed not only her lawyer skills, but also handled along with her client caseload the firm's set-up and operations, business development, accounting and bookkeeping, technology, and marketing matters.
Kim has always been interested in international matters and has traveled quite a bit for both business and pleasure. During law school, she spent one summer working as a legal intern at a law firm in Lima, Peru. She has traveled to Europe and Africa to handle business transactions, and has spent amazing holidays at various destinations in Latin America and Europe.
