Jason Lorenzon knows the U.S. Immigration system well. Mr. Lorenzon gained his legal immigration knowledge after working for a large immigration firm for several years first as a law clerk than as a senior attorney.  Mr. Lorenzon has represented clients in immigration courts across the United States including; New York, Cleveland, Seattle, San Antonio, Newark, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami-Chrome, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Memphis, Chicago, Buffalo, and Boston.

Mr. Lorenzon has written numerous appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) for clients. Mr. Lorenzon has filed many successful motions to reopen with the Immigration Courts and the BIA for clients with final orders of removal or deportation. Mr. Lorenzon regularly negotiates with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and has acquired deferred action for clients who are facing imminent removal. Where his clients have been detained by ICE, Mr. Lorenzon has persuaded ICE to release the client and grant stays of deportation when the client has significant family ties and compelling reasons to remain in the United States. Mr. Lorenzon’s passion is to help people achieve “the American Dream” and to keep families united. Mr. Lorenzon's desire to help others comes from his deep faith and many years serving the Roman Catholic Church as a Director of Music Ministry, prior to his career as a lawyer. Mr. Lorenzon is an immigrant himself, coming to the United States as a student on an F-1 visa in 1995, and his goal is to help others do the same. Mr. Lorenzon obtained his green card in 2000 as one of the first organists and church musicians to receive lawful permanent resident status through the Religious Worker’s program, and United States’ citizenship in 2006.

Prior to his legal career, he served for many years as Music Director of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Macedonia, Ohio. He is also a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor, holding an instrument rating, multi-engine rating and instructor ratings (single, multi-engine and instrument).

Before joining CKR Law, Mr. Lorenzon was a founding member of DeCola & Lorenzon LLC, an Ohio and Florida-based law firm.
