In 1988, he was appointed as a prosecutor at the Egyptian Prosecutor Central’s Office. In 1995, he was appointed as a judge and had served in civil, criminal, and commercial courts.
In 2011, Judge Rabei was seconded to the UAE, where he served as the Chief Judge at the Ras Al-Khaimah courts. In 2013, he was promoted to Chief Judge of the Cairo Court of Appeals. In 2015, Judge Rabei retired from the judiciary and started his private practice in Egypt and Bahrain. He holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. from Cairo University.
