His practice focuses on government and regulatory compliance in several industries, including telecommunications, broadcasting and gaming.


ACCREDITATIONS

Is a founding partner of Ambrosi, Zambrano & Sarkis. He has also served as a Federal Congressman (substitute) from the First Electoral District of the State of Chihuahua from 2012-2015. He is a member of the Institute for the Study of Telecommunications Law. Mr. Sarkis previously worked as a trial attorney in a law firm founded by a former Mexican Supreme Court Justice. He has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL), Chief of Staff at the Broadcasting Committee of the House of Representatives and a Director of Regulation for the Vice Presidency of Information of Grupo Televisa, which is the largest Spanish speaking network in the world.

EDUCATION

Law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey as well as a master’s degree in Military Administration for National Security and Defense from the Colegio de Defensa National and a doctorate degree in Political and Social Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.

Mr. Sarkis earned his law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey as well as a master’s degree in Military Administration for National Security and Defense from the Colegio de Defensa National and a doctorate degree in Political and Social Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.

Humberto Sarkis was born in the United States of America to a Mexican diplomatic envoy who would later become the first female governor of the State of Chihuahua, Federal Senator and Ambassador of Mexico.

Mr. Sarkis is licensed to practice law in Mexico and is a founding partner of Ambrosi, Zambrano & Sarkis. He has also served as a Federal Congressman (substitute) from the First Electoral District of the State of Chihuahua from 2012-2015. He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association and the Institute for the Study of Telecommunications Law.
